Making a purchase is easy. Browse our catalogue, find any items you wish to buy and add them to your shopping list.

When you have finished your selection, go to "Shopping list" and click on “Checkout” where you will be asked to fill in your details. We will then check that the item(s) are available.

We cannot include postage at this stage as we calculate each order’s postage individually by weight and service required.

We should normally get back to you on the same or next working day with the quote and to arrange payment.

PAYMENT

Cards - We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and most debit cards.

Cheques in GB Pounds drawn on UK bank accounts or cheques in US Dollars (A conversion charge is made for any amount over $50).

Paypal is available by sending funds to the address info@wyseby.co.uk . We normally charge an extra 5% for Paypal payments – but please do not make a payment until the full price has been quoted.

SCHOOLS, UNIVERSITIES and LIBRARIES may request for payments to be invoiced.

POSTAGE

Orders are normally processed and posted on the same or next working day when payment has been received.

UK

We normally post 2nd class Royal Mail or 48 Hour Parcelforce for heavier items. Costs are based on weight. - minimum charge is £2.25 rising to £2.55 for I Kg to a maximum of £6.95 except for offshore island and the North of Scotland and Ireland.

We will quote 1st class, guaranteed next day delivery if required.

OVERSEAS

We post everywhere by Royal Mail Airmail – we have a special contract which enables us to post economyair at a cheaper rate than surface.

Costs are based on weight and are very reasonable – and the pro rata cost decreases with increasing weight.

Priority air reaches most destinations in a week or less. Economyair (not available in Europe) takes 2 – 3 weeks.

Courier service is very much more expensive but can be arranged if requested.

PACKAGING

We have been posting books for nearly 30 years and take great care in packing to ensure your book arrives safely.

RETURNS

Unless otherwise stated. All books are first editions, in very good second-hand condition or better, in octavo sizes, published in the United Kingdom or the United States, and are in publisher’s original cloth, unless otherwise stated. The presence but not the absence of dust jackets is noted. End paper inscriptions and bookplates are not normally noted.

All items are carefully described but the customer may return the item carefully packed within 5 working days of receipt if not happy. We will refund the cost of the item when it is returned but will only refund postage at our discretion or if we have made a mistake.
